Why DeOx is Essential for Preventing Oxidation in Electrical Connections

🚨 The Importance of Proper Conductor Treatment 🚨

Hey everyone, Chadwick Ferguson here, owner of Safe and Sound Electric. In this video, I’m showing you something crucial for the longevity and safety of your electrical connections.

Watch as we demonstrate the importance of using DeOx on electrical connections. See the stark difference between treated and untreated conductors—one stays safe, while the other begins to oxidize.

🔍 In the CT cabinet, you’ll notice three lugs with two conductors each. These conductors have been treated with a special compound called DeOx, which prevents oxidation. As you can see, there’s no oxidation on these conductors—they’re in great shape!

But then, take a look at the client-side connections. No DeOx was applied here, and oxidation has already started. This can lead to increased resistance, heat buildup, and potentially dangerous situations down the road.

At Safe and Sound Electric, we make sure to use DeOx on all our connections to ensure they stay safe and sound for years to come. Don’t cut corners when it comes to your electrical safety!
